Tutti Method Belief In Growth Over Outcome
Tutti Method Teacher Training
The Tutti Method is a unique teacher training that uses music not just as a subject but as a powerful tool to enhance overall well being and personal growth. Our approach emphasizes the role of music in fostering better communication, social interaction, confidence, motor skills, and other essential life skills. Rather than focusing solely on music exams or technical perfection, the Tutti Method prioritises the joy of music, whether it be playing individually or collaboratively.
At the heart of the Tutti Method is a belief in growth over outcomes. We recognize that when students truly enjoy their learning journey, they will thrive naturally. This approach helps learners to develop intrinsic goals in music while cultivating a wide range of soft skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
The training is structured across five core modules which consist of Communication, Motivation, Generational Profile, Professionalism, and Pedagogy. The training duration will take about one to two whole days.
Upon completion of this training, teachers will have the competency to tailor well structured lessons with innovation, inspiration and deliver training to students effectively.

“The Day I Knew Music Education Needed to Change”
When I was 16, I signed up for guitar lessons with one goal in mind, to shred on an electric guitar and become a rockstar. But my teacher had other ideas. He told me, “No electric guitar for you. Must learn classical guitar first.” Then, he conveniently sold me my first classical guitar.
Fine. I practised hard, got pretty good, and after two years, I asked again, “Can I learn electric guitar now?” He shook his head and said, “Not yet. Learn folk guitar first.” Then, he sold me a steel-string folk guitar.
By the third year, I tried again. “Electric guitar now?” Finally, he said yes! And guess what? He sold me my first electric guitar. Now I have 3 guitars within 3 years. Then, he casually admitted, “Actually, I don’t know how to teach electric guitar.” 🤦♂️
I didn’t think much back then with my tiny brain but I know I am very driven to play music.
At 20, I started teaching at a music school. I’m so eager to teach and wanted my students to progress fast as possible. However my boss pulled me aside and said, “Slow down. The slower you teach, the more money we make.”
That’s it hits me like a truck! I had been the victim of a system that prioritizes on profit over real learning.
And that was the moment I knew that music education needed to change.
